Chris (Daniel Kaluuya) is concerned about a weekend visit to his girlfriend’s family home…

a) they live a privileged middle class life
b) they don’t know he’s black

Director/writer Jordan Peele subverts his generic premise, poking fun at stereotypes, race and the genre itself.

Kaluuya is a likeable lead. A lamb to slaughter, he becomes increasingly paranoid about this strange family’s intentions. Paranoia escalates into genuine threat and Get Out reaches a bonkers but fantastically satisfying climax.

Lack of genuine scares may disappoint some but Get Out creeps under your skin and into your head with its biting social commentary.
