Rudd and Hirsch are road repairmen working throughout the scorching Texan summer. Through long days of hard work, bickering and drinking, they form an unlikely friendship.

Although sold as a comedy, do not expect one. Rudd (with a FANTASTIC ‘tache) and Hirsch’s interactions are humorous but belly laughs aren’t the goal here.

Green sacrifices traditional storytelling instead focusing on long silences, dream-like imagery and the picturesque, isolated landscape to tell his story.

Fans of similarly quiet, character-driven movies like Jeff, Who Lives At Home and The Station Agent will find much to love in this bromantic (totally a word) tale.
